Kin House
Located on the Gold Coast, this substantial renovation transforms a modest beach shack into a warm, light-filled mid-century modern home inspired by modernist design principles. A new open-plan kitchen, living, and dining space anchored by a dramatic raked ceiling replaces the previously enclosed and dimly lit interiors, creating a greater sense of openness and volume. North-facing highlight windows were strategically introduced to invite natural light deep into the home, enhancing the connection to its coastal setting and bringing a calm, sunlit quality to the interiors.
